Reference is hereby made to the last call of our above named vessel on 16 November up to 2nd of December 2003 at Colombo for passing her Special Survey with extended repairs and dry docking. Wish to point that though we are in the shipping industry from 1961 and we had under our ownership and command more than 90 vessels this was the first time for a vessel of our fleet visited Colombo for repair purpose, and we were very cautious and skeptical about this operation due to the Sri Lankan local circumstances and due to the yard's reputation of minor degree of repairs. It is a honor for your company to make our mind feel secure and finally to proceed to Colombo instead of Vietnam, ensuring business for the yard and exchange inflow for the government. During this hard operation which was attended by two of our Superintendents who were in continuous contact with your good office everything went in good order thanks to your good relationships with the local authorities, your constant monitoring of the operations and your immediate action in all difficulties faced in any instance, from supply of stores or provisions and spare parts up to technical support and crew matters, making operations more easy and helping us stay at the yard the minimum needed for such a size of repair.
